Right now I have a black screen with the heading "Microsoft Flight Simulator X - InstallShield Wizard" and in the upper right corner there is a small Guess that's out.Īs I type this I am again attempting to install the game so I can hopefully add any input real time. When I try to install the game on the external hard drive I get a message informing me that setup does not support UNC or remote drive installations. I did some research and one member suggested downloading and installing the game on a separate drive (I have a 500 GB external hard drive I use for backup) which No idea if this had anything to do with my FSX file not showing up in my programs list but I thought I'd mention it anyway.Īt any rate, I have tried numerous times to install FSX in Windows 10 but with no luck. Correct me if I'm wrong: I had read when the Windows 10 upgrade finished the old windows files were stored in a folder called window.old and that after 30 days these files were automatically deleted. Because I had initially downloaded and installed the game on my laptop then copied all the files to an external hard drive when the Windows 10 upgrade installed it must have deleted FSXįrom my program files as it was not listed. Thank you for your response but unfortunately it came too late. Please let us know the status of your issue so that we can assist you further. Now, insert the CD into the drive again and check if you can access setup.exe and run the games without the acceleration option. “Use Auto Play for all media and devices”.
